"Heritage Inn, Idaho Springs, Colorado - Stayed October, 2006
This place is a risk not worth taking!!
I checked into this motel to discover I had
been put in the wrong room. The room I had
requested was $18.97 more than I was told it
would be. The television wasn't working
properly, and when the desk clerk showed up
half an hour later I was told she could no
longer move me to another room or credit my
card, without "authorization", because I'd
already been there for over 15 minutes (go
figure).
An hour and 45 minutes later she informed me
she had finally gotten in touch with the
manager to get permission to resolve the
situation, but the rooms in the price range I
had paid for, which was over $85.00, were
already booked and I would be expected to pay
even more money for a higher priced room.
After refusing to do and leaving to stay
somewhere else I contacted the manager the
next day and was refused a refund. His logic
was that if I did not want to incur the extra
expense due to their lack of properly
functioning amenities I should have been
willing to be further inconvenienced by
waiting for him to show up to attempt to fix
the television himself. How's that for good
management?"
